1928 Ford Body & Chassis Combos

BODY FEATURES: Fibreglass reproduction, 3 inch longer doors and cockpit area(roadster, roadster pickup) 35 inch doors(tourer), fully steeled out with operational doors and boot lid, intrusion bars and burst-proof locks in doors, dashboard fitted and underdash 90 degree brake pedal and booster mount, option of standard or 4 inch recessed firewall.

CHASSIS FEATURES: 107 inch wheel base, 1932 Hiboy Style, profile cut fabricated chassis rails, model A. dropped front crossmember, tubular center “X” member , tubular rear crossmember with shock mounts, rear chassis horns to mount 1932 fuel tank, 32 inch engine bay, fully welded.

Custom built chassis

For any pre-1948 vehicle, Vintage Rod & Custom can manufacture chassis using original, reproduction, or custom profiled chassis rails to suit any combination of drive line. Custom built chassis are fully constructed, including boxing of chassis rails, fitment of front and rear suspensions, and fitment of engines and trans. Modified original chassis

Made to suit pre-1966 vehicle, these consist of engine and drive line swaps, front and rear suspension swaps, chassis reinforcement and wheel based altering. We utilise doner suspension from later model vehicles or purpose built components from manufacturers including Rednek (VRC), Rodtech, and SoCal. Contact Vintage Rod & Custom for a quote today.

Wire wheel modification

Original wire wheels from the early years are made into fifteen inch diameter hot rod wheels. Widths from 6 to 10 inches, using late model safety outer bans and to suit any bolt pattern; please note that owners need to supply the original wheel! Prices start from $350 plus GST per wheel.

Custom made stainless steel fuel tanks

Fabricated from 304 grade stainless steel to suit any hot rod or custom classic application, tanks are supplied fully welded and ready for use. Complete fuel system fabrication is also available, including stainless steel fuel rails. Call Vintage Rod & Custom for a quote.
